Collagen is a fundamental structural protein of the human body. It contributes to skin firmness, tissue elasticity, hair and nail quality, as well as joint health. With age, its natural production declines, which can manifest as a loss of elasticity, the formation of wrinkles or weakening of the musculoskeletal system.

Tri-Peptide Collagen represents a modern form of collagen designed for maximum utilisation by the body.

Product detailed description

What is Tri-Peptide Collagen

Tri-peptide collagen (CTP) is the smallest structural unit of collagen. Unlike conventional collagen, it is not composed of long chains, but of short peptides that are biologically active.

Thanks to its size:

  • it is absorbed more rapidly
  • it passes through the digestive tract more efficiently than conventional collagen
  • it can be utilised directly by the body, not only as a source of amino acids

Difference Between Conventional and Tri-Peptide Collagen

Conventional collagen has a large molecular structure that must first be broken down into smaller components in the body.

Tri-peptide collagen:

  • is already in the form of small peptides
  • is biologically active
  • acts not only as a building material, but also as a signal for the production of the body's own collagen

Not All Collagen Is the Same. Molecular Size Matters.

Collagen is a structural protein composed of long chains of amino acids. In its natural form, it has a very high molecular weight (100,000–300,000 Da), which significantly limits its direct absorption.

This is why hydrolysed collagen peptides were developed enzymatically broken-down fragments of collagen with a molecular weight of approximately 3,000–5,000 Da. They are more soluble and more bioavailable than native collagen. Our product combines 7,000 mg of collagen per day, of which 1,750 mg is collagen tri-peptide (CTP) the smallest functional unit of collagen with a molecular weight below 500 Daltons. This is where the difference begins. This means a smaller molecule, higher absorption and more targeted biological activity.

Thanks to a molecular weight of < 500 Da:

  • it passes through the intestinal barrier more efficiently
  • it can be detected in the bloodstream more rapidly
  • it achieves higher bioavailability
  • it can act as a signalling molecule for fibroblasts

It is a specific sequence of three amino acids, Gly-Pro-Hyp, which retains its biological activity and is able to enter the bloodstream more rapidly. Thanks to its minimal molecular weight, its absorption is fast and efficient. At the same time, it is complemented by 5,250 mg of hydrolysed fish collagen in the daily dose, which provides sufficient substrate for the long-term support of connective tissues.

Tri-peptide collagen (CTP), however, goes a hundred steps further.

Hydrolysed Fish Collagen – 3,000–5,000 Da

Hydrolysed collagen peptides form the second component of the product. These peptides are the result of controlled enzymatic hydrolysis, during which collagen fibres are broken down into smaller fragments. They have significantly higher absorption than native collagen and represent a high-quality source of glycine, proline and hydroxyproline. Their role differs from that of CTP.

While the tri-peptide can act as a signalling molecule, hydrolysed collagen primarily represents:

  • a structural substrate
  • a source of amino acids for connective tissues
  • support for long-term regeneration

Simply put:

CTP = active fragment
Hydrolysed collagen = structural foundation

Recommended Dosage:

One heaped scoop in 2 dcl of water on an empty stomach or 20 minutes before a meal.
